In the centre of Lichtenvoorde, a small team runs a lunchroom, catering service, and garden where people on the margins of the labour market grow in hospitality. Het Blok provides day activities, work experience, and reintegration in an environment where positivity is valued as much as productivity. Coworkers make soup, serve lunch, or bake apple pie for the town hall – as equal colleagues. Thanks to the expansion to a second location, more space has been created for calm workplaces and new coworkers. Anton Jurgens Fonds helps enable this growth while preserving what makes Het Blok unique.
