FairMatch Support, a social venture, and Koster Keunen, a manufacturer of beeswax products, have joined forces with the Anton Jurgens Fonds to improve the beeswax supply chain in Burkina Faso and Nigeria. Bees play a key role in ecosystems and agriculture around the world, West Africa included. The initiative equips and trains beekeepers to produce more and better beeswax and connects them with international markets. This boosts the quality and quantity of honey production as well, raising beekeepers’ income even further. In addition, a higher bee population ensures better agricultural crop pollination – great news for the many local cashew farmers!
